Hey, there, I’m Andi. I’m an Attachment Theory enthusiast and a true Avoidant Hell Survivor™️. I’m not a professional therapist, but I do have more experience in navigating relationships with Avoidant men that I ever cared to. I’ve researched, reflected, and, and, yes, ruminated, too, and now I’ve come to share my thoughts and hard-learned insights with you in the hopes they can help you.
Here on Romancing the Fox, you will uncover the nuance of Attachment Theory that social media relationship coaches leave unexplored. There will be no sweeping generalizations that paint Avoidants as malicious users and abusers–that’s protective anger. Together we’ll explore healthier, more effective ways to understand and detach if and when necessary.
My goal is to explore Attachment Theory in a way that is directly applicable and recognizable in everyday life, without watering it down. It’s in the details where we’ll find whether loving that slippery fox of an Avoidant is sustainable for your mental health, or if your needs are not met and it’s time to let him gently go.
Loving an Avoidant is a challenge, that’s true. And yet it can be deeply fulfilling, harmonious, and even transcendental. You don’t have to erase yourself, contort into the Avoidant Ideal, or silence your voice to make it work.
I hope to see you on this journey with me, and I can’t wait to hear your own experiences along the way.
